Amy Meghan Neaher was raised in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Awarded full academic scholarships, she attended Shippensburg University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in 1992 with a major in government and a minor in sociology in three years. Amy subsequently received her law degree from the District of Columbia School of Law, Washington D.C. in 1996.
After graduation from law school, Amy worked
as an international contracts representative for Northrop Grumman. Upon relocation to Florida, she was employed as District Counsel for the Department of Children and Families handling child abuse/neglect cases from inception to the appellate level. Entering private practice, Amy worked for several distinguished law firms gaining a wide range of experience before opening her own practice.
Amy is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is the recipient of the Laurie Flick Humanitarian Award. She has spoken on numerous topics including, workers’ compensation and estate planning. Amy is a member of the Lee County Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the National Association of Professional Women and the Cape Coral Bar Association.
Amy is married to her high school sweetheart, John, and has a daughter, Delaney and son, Jackson.
